Good News: It’s Not Another Podcast

Short takes, sharp analysis, and real commentary on the craft and culture of comedy.

ABOUT

The Comics Table is a digital publication highlighting the craft and culture of comedy. We treat a 15-minute set like a championship game and a comedian’s persona like a fall couture collection. After watching countless hours of comedy performances, we’ve learned two things: one, it’s always better live, and two, a missed laugh says more about the audience’s taste than talent.

Not every joke will make you laugh, but it doesn’t mean it’s not funny; rather, it’s just not your style of comedy. However, finding the comedy style and fit can feel overwhelming because of scrolling through a sea of clips and endless thumbnail suggestions.

We provide a weekly breakdown that highlights the performers shaping the world of comedy and how their distinct style is categorized. By examining structure, timing, and point of view, we cut through the noise so you can spend less time searching and more time laughing.
